Panels
The management structure of the Technology Perspective Kraków–Małopolska 2020 project will include five categories of expert panels. Each of them will be responsible for specific tasks.
Analysis Panel
The Analysis Panel will consist of 10 persons. They will be recruited from among representatives of academic and business milieux. The tasks of the Analysis Panel include:
participation in the preliminary analysis of 56 technologies in line with the RAND 2020 report
participation in the analysis of regional and international context for 20 key technologies with technical potential for implementation before 2020.
SWOT Expert Panel (20* 5 persons)
The SWOT Expert Panel will be composed of 20 groups, each consisting of five persons. The tasks of the panel include:
conducting SWOT analysis in 20 key technologies with technical potential for implementation before 2020
development of recommendations for further research activity.
The Council of Wise Men Panel (10 persons)
The Council of Wise Men is a panel that will consist of 10 persons. They will be the economic and intellectual authorities of the region. The tasks of the Council of Wise Men include:
on the grounds of their knowledge and economic experience, preparation of recommendations for the “top-level” expert panel, related to the selection of 10 out of 20 technologies with technical potential for implementation before 2020
conducting, an analysis of recommendations from the “top-level” expert panel, and preparation of recommendations for the Steering Committee.
“Top Level” Expert Panel
The “Top Level” Expert Panel will be composed of four persons. They will be experts specialising in the foresight methodology both from Poland and from the European Commission. The “Top Level” Expert Panel is in charge of preparing the materials for “the Council of Wise Men” on the grounds of experience in foresight methodology and knowledge of global technological trends.
“Foresight Lab” Panel
The “Foresight Lab” Panel will consist of 10 groups of five persons each. There are tasks include the development of development strategies for 10 selected technologies (roadmaps for technology development and framework operating plans).
